Why counselling?
There are times in life when it can be helpful to talk in a safe and confidential space to an experienced counsellor. Everyone has a different reason for starting counselling and while this can greatly vary, counselling is often sought to understand difficulties people are experiencing in their lives, to start to improve a person’s wellbeing, or to change self-limiting thoughts.
Often our problems do not fit neatly into a category and so I work primarily with my clients’ experience of the world as the focus of counselling. I provide sessions for individuals, usually on a weekly basis from my private practice and this can be face-to-face, online or by phone.
I am a fully accredited counsellor based in Somerset and have experience working with the following issues:
- Addiction
- Anger
- Anxiety
- Bereavement and grief
- Burnout and exhuastion
- Compulsive behaviour
- Depression
- Eating disorders
- Phobias
- Postnatal and perinatal depression
- Relationship problems
- Self-harm
- Sexual abuse

- Trauma
Introductory sessions (30 minutes) are free so that clients can decide whether they feel my counselling approach can work for them. My fees for further sessions are:
- Face to face: £40 per hour
